RHA Board Member, Bill Hockin today presented international development organisation, Transaid with a cheque for more than £26,000 representing funds raised by RHA members over the past twelve months. Transaid is an organisation that improves the quality of life in the developing world by making transport more readily available, affordable and sustainable.
The presentation was made to the Chief Executive of Transaid, Caroline Barber on the second day of the annual Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham’s NEC. Delegates from throughout the country were in attendance on an incredibly busy day two of the UK’s largest and most comprehensive road freight, transport and distribution event.

We’re delighted that our members have again shown such generosity in raising a fantastic sum of money over the past year in support the vital work that Transaid carries out, transforming many lives. The funds raised will go directly towards supporting our road safety and access to health programmes. This is a fantastic sum and just one of the very many ways that the RHA is supporting Transaid this year.”
